Built for the next generation

One troop.
Room for every Scout.

Troop 23 is being built around a simple idea: young people learn confidence by doing hard things together—with trusted adults nearby and youth leaders out front.

As a Family Troop, our boys and girls will belong to one unified troop. Scouts will learn outdoor skills, practice service, take on responsibility, and build friendships through a program designed to grow with them.

Troop 23 is forming under Pudetti Center for Community Programs, Inc. Final chartering, meeting, and launch details are still being completed.

More than a weekly meeting

Skills for the trail—and for life.

Our first-year program will be planned with founding Scouts and families, using the proven Scouts BSA program as our guide.

01

Outdoor confidence

Camping, cooking, hiking, navigation, first aid, and caring for the places we explore.

02

Youth leadership

Scouts learn to plan, communicate, solve problems, and lead their peers with support from trained adults.

03

Service with purpose

Meaningful community projects help Scouts see that their time and talents can make a real difference.

04

Personal growth

Advancement, merit badges, new experiences, and encouraging mentors help each Scout find their strengths.

Good questions are welcome

What families usually ask.

Details marked as pending will be updated here as the troop’s formation process is completed.

Is Troop 23 open to both boys and girls?

Yes. Troop 23 is being formed as one Scouting America Family Troop serving male and female Scouts. Activities will follow Scouting America’s current safeguarding and program requirements.

What ages can participate?

Scouts BSA primarily serves young people ages 11 through 17. Contact us if your child is close to the joining age and we’ll help confirm eligibility.

Where and when will the troop meet?

The regular Middle Tennessee meeting location and schedule have not been finalized. Interested families can join the contact list now and will receive confirmed details before the first gathering.

Does my child need outdoor experience?

Not at all. Scouts learn progressively and safely. Curiosity, kindness, and a willingness to try are the best starting equipment.

Can parents and guardians volunteer?

Yes. A new troop needs adults with many different skills, not only camping experience. Registered adult roles require Scouting America screening and training.
